From Strangers to Sisters in Christ | Refined Seattle 2026

What if you could experience a bootcamp that cultivates Christ-centered friendships, forms lasting habits of prayer and spiritual disciplines, and so much more?

Refined is a 10-week discipleship program that Resound church ran to help college women grow in their relationship with God and with others. This past winter and spring, 20 college students from the University of Washington and Seattle University learned about topics such as biblical confession, true courage, solitude, community, intergenerational relationships, and how to view singleness and dating from a biblical perspective. They memorized Scripture, connected over daily calls, and grew in prayer and discipline.

“Refined was really special to me and helped me grow so much both as a woman and a Christian. I’m so grateful to have been able to experience this in my first year of college. Being able to find my community and identity within Christ so early in my life is unmatchable, and I’m so thankful that God placed this opportunity and these people into my life.”

- Kenzie, a rising sophomore from SU

“Through ally calls, I really got close to many younger sisters. As someone who really struggled with prayer, my heart softened during these calls as I listened to and prayed for their struggles to overcome worldly pleasures. As we did the activity of the Cloud of Witnesses, I saw that there is such a great need for the younger sisters to get connected and grow through the wisdom of older sisters. I think that challenged me to get out of my bubble more.”

- Megan, new grad from UW

“I didn’t believe that God would address me through Refined, nor did I believe that I would feel so safe around a group of sisters in Christ. What helped me open up to others is when I know the other person is being vulnerable with me as well. Our relationships grew into one where we weren’t afraid to call each other out on our actions or thoughts, but also provide support and encouragement at the same time.”

- Stephanie, new grad from UW

We’re thankful that many students experienced sisterhood and learned what it means to be daughters of God!
